    Personal Health Records
In April of 2008, The Kay Center for E-Health Research hosted a Symposium at Claremont Graduate University titled Consumer Health Informatics: an Intensive Learning Experience. The focus of the event was on the impact that Personal Health Records are having on patient-driven health care and the lessons learned from major implementations that are already underway.

    Disability Determination
In March of 2008, The Kay Center for E-Health Research hosted a forum in Washington, D.C. titled The Disability Determination Process: An Exploratory Study on the Impact of Incomplete Medical Evidence. The focus of the event was to explore how incomplete medical evidence delays the disability determination process, how electronic medical records can enhance the process and how online patient access can enable consumers to take an active role in coordinating the exchange of information between the Social Security Administration and their health care providers.
